It's never truly Christmas without a heated debate.

Ohhhh yeah...I have a blog!

Thanks for sticking with me through my hiatus, and I hope ya'll had a FABULOUS Christmas and New Year - we certainly did!

Today, internets, I present to you the great debate that took place with my family over Christmas.

It all started when we went to see the movie "It's Complicated" (side note: this movie is hilarious!  go see it!).  In the movie, one of my crushes, John Krasinski (from The Office) wears a cardigan in several of the scenes.  You know, the button-down sweater that typically hangs in our side of the closet.  I've seen it a few other places lately, and I'm really into the look.  I call it:  Geek Chic.

So, I took a little poll with my family members (actually, I went to a lot of effort to sway my voters, with a chalkboard voting system, and examples torn out of my Grandma's JC Penney catalog), and only myself and one other cousin liked the look.  Everyone else had responses that ranged from "too Mr. Rogers", "too feminine", "old man-ish", and my husband's eloquent "HECK no".

So friends - who, depending on your answers, may or may not have more fashion sense than my relatives in Oklahoma, I ask:  what say you?

By the way, what's the proper lingual hybrid here?  Man Sweater?  Mardigan?  Manigan?

I've posted a poll in hopes that with your help, I can persuade Ryan to swing by J. Crew with me this week, so vote wisely people!

Ok, I had to pick option D.

I want to like it, and I want my hypothetical future husband to look hot in a cardigan... but realistically? It's just too feminine. I don't know if I've ever seen a, um, mardigan worn and looking good.

Sorry I voted against you. Forgive me?

I voted D too...John looks hot but if Big Man wore it I don't know if I could dig it too much..I think only certain people can pull it off.

I love it! My year and a half at J.Crew heavily influenced this though and I haven't persuaded Brian to jump on board. Geek chic is a perfect way to describe the look that can swing preppy or hipster.

I'm so glad you found me! I haven't been blogging for long, but I'm happy to have you as a reader now!

I voted D, but if you can convince your man to get one, please post! I want to be proven wrong. :)

Um, I absolutely adore it. I do have to say that I am a HUGE nerd, and am attracted to other huge nerds, but I think it is very hot.

Any my husband would never wear one either.
