Yesterday I got to go to the second installment of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People class, called Focus. It is all about time management, planning your schedule and stuff like that. It was a cool class that taught a pretty cool system - all part of the genius of Stephen Covey. Anyway, as I was leaving the class and headed back to my office, this guy who was in the class with me started chatting to me. Here's how the convo goes:
Guy: "How did you find the class?"
Me: "What?"
Guy: "How did you find the class?"
I begin racking my brain trying to figure out what he was talking about / how I should answer. I mean it was in a conference room in the building next door to ours... I don't know? I just knew where it was...its a pretty obvious location. So I finally said
Me: "Umm, I've actually been to classes there before, so it wasn't hard."
Guy: "Oh...okay. Well...I thought the class was great..."
He keeps talking as I realize what he meant was How did I like the class. I guess I've heard of people phrasing a question that way, but I totally did not get it at the time. I would think the guy was dumb for asking it that way if I weren't so busy worrying that he thinks I'm an idiot!

I'm with you. I would have said the same thing.
I'm sorry but if someone wants to know how you liked class they should say, "Did you like the class today?" He should be the one embarrassed that he did not how to properly phrase a question.
That's funny. I would have probably done the same thing.
