My week in pictures

As I get closer and closer to moving in 3 weeks, life gets more and more hectic.  So you will have to excuse me for not getting my post about last week up until today!  Anyway, I did manage to snap some pictures (even if they are cell phone pics) from last week.

Monday
I'm not ashamed to admit that the highlight of my Monday is watching Dancing with the Stars. I am however, slightly ashamed to admit that Jake was my favorite.  I was sad to see him go!  I know that's a really unpopular opinion, but whatever - you know he's really cute!  But of course I will still tune in every Monday and Tuesday because   that Niecy cracks me up!

Tuesday
Grocery shopping day.  Ugh.  My least favorite chore, but there is one part of the store that is my favorite.  I love the colors of the produce section!  It makes me so happy to see rich, red, tomatoes and rows of shiny green apples.  I didn't even buy this tomato, I just carried it around forever because I thought it was so big and pretty...

Wednesday
Okay, so lately I've been having some weird headaches at the back of my head, and since I'm about to leave Houston and swap my primo health insurance for student insurance, I went ahead and had it checked out.  So Wednesday I had my very first MRI!  It was a strange experience. But after my minor meltdown about having contrast intravenously injected (I didn't know that was part of the drill), I walked away with awesome images of my brain, a stealth snapshot of my MRI suite, and a reportedly "normal" brain scan.  Thank goodness!  :)

Thursday
Thursday I had the rare opportunity to go out to lunch with some friends.  Since I'm never outside during the hours of 8 and 4 on weekdays (and I have the white legs to prove it), I was amazed at how beautiful it was outside.  Spring has sprung in Houston, and I plan on soaking up every second of temperatures below 90 degrees!

Friday
Friday I went to Ryan's end of the year soccer banquet.  Tonight was the night that he announced to the team that we will be moving to San Antonio this summer, and he won't be back as the coach next year.  He gave an incredible little speech, and for a few seconds I thought he might cry - but he held it together thanks to the comic relief provided by people like his goalie.  Oh, 9th grade boys!

Moments like this make us sad to go, but we know he has been so blessed by the crazy kids in his life!

I have a few more pictures from the weekend, but I think I'll save those for another post.  If I were to take pictures of my week this week, it would consist of me sleeping and applying for scholarships.  So here's to more blog-worthy events in my hopefully near future!
