This past saturday I took a completely pointless and annoying required entrance exam for nursing school. It has been something I've stressed about since it was first made a requirement a few years ago. I will post more specifically about how it went in another post, but most importantly I'm so happy to have it behind me! While I still have some classes to finish and applications to send in, I'm finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Since June, I've taken 18 credits worth of classes, studied for 1 entrance exam, sent off 2 applications (4 more to go), worked full time (a 12 hour chunk of my day from when I leave home to when I get home), plus church and other activities. Needless to say things like blogging, exercise, cooking, and having a life worth blogging about have fallen by the wayside. But I'm back baby! I decided to take today off since I'm done with my test, and I've gotten to do so many neglected things that make me feel normal again!
I did laundry, went to the grocery store, started decorating for fall (pics to come), read my new Southern Living cover-to-cover, cooked a nice dinner, and blogged!
The fall, and October in particular, is the best, and I have hated missing out on everything because of my packed schedule! I turned 26 this month, I will celebrate a 2nd wedding anniversary in November, and can finally celebrate the fact that for the first time this fall, it has finally dipped below 80 degrees in Houston (well for a couple days anyway)! It's been killing me that I couldn't put together a post on fall fashion, jackets, or fall decor. So hang with me readers, and even though I'm a little late to the party, I promise I will deliver!
Thank you all so much for your sweet comments, tweets, thoughts, and prayers over the last few months - It feels so good to be back!

YAY! :)
Hey Sarah, I just came across your blog on 20SB and I wanted to send you some words of encouragement! After taking what I assume you're referring to as the GRE (which I feel is silly and pointless) and countless prereqs I needed after already getting a BS, I just started nursing school this fall - and I absolutely love it. All that hard work is completely worth it! I'm sure you will get into a great program (whether you're doing BSN or MSN) and know that you will love what you do!! I look forward to reading more of your blog in the future :) -Sophie
